Grand opening

On Friday, 16 September, we opened the doors of our Tenuta Sanoner winery to welcome over 150 wine lovers from the Val d’Orcia. It was a very special event, aimed at presenting our winegrowing estate to the wine fans of San Quirico and the surrounding communities, where we raised a glass together to toast the completion of our new, state-of-the-art, innovative winery.

Guests had the opportunity to visit the estate and take a look behind the scenes, as well as to taste our Aetos wines ‒ and how could they resist?

Every cloud has a silver lining! Although the changeable weather obscured the otherwise breathtaking views from our panoramic terrace over the gentle rolling hills of the distant Orcia valley, it did not succeed in interrupting our celebrations. Despite the rainy weather, the opening celebration was a complete success, with top-quality wines accompanying a delicious buffet of typical Tuscan antipasti and grilled Florentine Chianina steaks. The musical entertainment also helped to provide a relaxed and convivial atmosphere.

We are all looking forward to enjoying the Aetos Orcia Sangiovese DOC 2015, which promises to be an excellent wine when it appears next spring, as well as the 2016 vintages of the Aetos Rosé Bio and the Aetos Sparkling Rosé, which will likewise come to market in the late winter of 2017.

The event also showed that the new winery, with its tasting room and its wonderful panoramic terrace in particular, makes an ideal venue for special events. This celebration will therefore certainly not be the last!

We are already looking forward to the next.
